Is coffee bad for the skin?

Do not panic, the coffee, if it is consumed in moderation, is not dangerous for health. However, he may have desiccant effects which can damage the quality of your skin, if you are used to drinking it daily, at a rate of three cups a day.

It's a young American journalist, Erin Jahns, who has experienced this by seeing a blatant change in the quality of his skin stopping his coffee consumption for almost a month.

With her sensitive skin and suffering from redness, rosacea and pimples of dryness, the young woman noticed the first results after three weeks off caffeine: his skin seems smoother, less dry and therefore more hydrated. Conquered, Erin says, however, that her skin did not magically transform: the coffee stop but also the milk that she was pouring into it (sometimes responsible for hormonal pimples) took time before she saw the results.

For the time being, no official study has demonstrated the harmful effects of coffee on the skin. Rather acidic and tannic, coffee should be consumed in moderation, preferably with vegetable milk - if you suffer from small pimples after consuming animal milk.
