Main colors of 2021

For more than two decades, in December of the outgoing year, the Panton Color Institute has announced the main colors of the next year. And only once (until now) colorists named not one, but two shades. So, in 2016, two pastel shades were named the colors of the year – blue Serenity and pink Rose Quartz. And now history repeats itself. The most fashionable color of 2021 will not be alone! The honorary title “color of the year” was again received by two shades – sunny yellow Illuminating and gray Ultimate Gray.

Illuminating Is not just a yellow tint. It symbolizes sunlight and hope, gives warmth and shares with everyone his optimism and love of life.

Ultimate gray personifies rigor, solidity and stability. He, like stones that withstood centuries-old attacks of water and wind, shows that you need to be strong. And for this you need to show firmness and composure. And in any situation, do not lose your presence of mind.

Panton experts chose two such different shades for a reason. And they offer to consider them in a pair. Yellow and gray support each other – and encourage everyone to do the same. After all, only with inner strength and a positive attitude can you survive any cataclysms and pandemics. This color blowing as if reminds us that “everything will pass, this will also pass.”
