Positive Body: Nike integrates large-size mannequins into its stores
The new floor of the Oxford Circus Nike Store in London, dedicated to female sport, hosted models considered as plus-size, with forms. The goal ? "Celebrating diversity" in the sport, and for that, the sales area "Will not only celebrate elite athletes"says the brand in a statement.
Leggings, bra, t-shirt ... Nike already offers women the opportunity to find a wide range of sizes going to 3X (from 60-62). But this is the first time she has integrated models to wear them in a shop. "With the incredible momentum of women's sports today, this redesigned space is further evidence of Nike's commitment to inspire and embody the sporty woman" says Sarah Hannah, vice president and global manager of Nike Women in Europe and Africa. In addition to representing other body shapes, the brand has also chosen to create a space with disabled models: everyone must be represented.
